2008 Winter Trial! We will hold our 2008 Winter trial February 8-10 with SV judge Helmut Rueppell. Click the link above to get details and a link to the trial flyer and entry form. The trial is hosted by Schutzhund Village at Newstead Farm.
2007 Fall Trial! Our 2007 Fall trial October 6-7 with SV judge Ferdinand Diermayr was very successful. Seven teams participated, earning 3 new Schutzhund titles, repeating two, and earning two BH's. Christopher earned SchH 1 with Karo, Fiona earned SchH 2 with Ben, and Ron and Guyot earned SchH 3. Jason with Rico and Warren with Atos earned BH. In her first trial, junior handler Anita repeated the SchH 3 with Akira. Anita's first time on the Schutzhund field she and Akira scored 96 "V" in obedience! Paige and Chevez repeated SchH 2.
2007 Winter Trial! The sun smiled on the 14 teams who participated in our 2007 Winter trial February 3-4 with SV judge Peter Dittmeir. The weather man threatened "severe winter weather," but the sun was out with temperatures in the 30's and 40's. Club members earned a total of eight new titles and repeated two. Fiona earned SchH 1 with Ben and SchH 3 with Cara, Armin earned SchH 3 with Akira and repeated StP 3 with Burzel. Keith and Eli together with Ron and Guyot earned SchH 2. John and Reno, Christopher and Karo, and Heather and Wish earned BH. John and Jazz earned Tr 1 and OB 1. Our guests Daniela with Olesko earned FH 2 and Pia with Eon earned SchH 3. Arnot capped his schutzhund career with a 98 "V" in protection, going High in Trial to earn his ninth SchH 3.
2006 Summer Trial! Our 2006 Summer trial with SV judge Helmut Rueppell is now in the record book. Dogs raised and trained in our club earned five new Schutzhund titles and the first Stöberprüfung II in the US. Eli and Keith, Guyot and Ron earned SchH I Akira and Armin, Cara and Fiona, and Enya and Michelle earned SchH II. Burzel earned his StP II. Cala SchH III and Scott were high in trial.
2006 Winter Trial! We held our 2006 Winter Trial January 20-22 with SV judge Joerg Schridde. Our dogs earned 5 new BHs, 2 new SchH I titles, a new FH I, the 1st ever in the US Stöberprüfung I, and a repeat SchH III. Congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and fine performances.
2005 Spring Trial! We held our 2005 Spring Trial April 29 - May 1, 2005 with SV judge Helmut Rueppell. Highlights of the weekend were three new BH dogs, Enya, Uschi, and Jiri, a new SchH I for Vinny, for which he and Doug receive the Training Director's award, a new SchH III for Fabio, and the Perpetual Trophy to Arnot, SchH III. Big thanks to our trial secretary, Rae, our helpers, Dave, Matt, and Armin, our tracklayer, Don, and, of course, our judge Helmut and his wife Ursula, who came all the way from Germany. And let's not forget an equally big thanks to Tim and Kim for the steaks (and tort), Evette for the pies, and everyone else who pitched in to help.
2005 Winter Trial! Our winter trial was a big success with a whole bunch of new titles. Armin with Akira, Michelle with Eddy, and Mel with Gero earned BH's. Rae with Diago, Fiona with Cara, and Chris with Cash earned SchH I. James with Chief earned SchH III with High in Trial. And Michelle with Ax earned FH2. Everyone, including our judge, Herr Wimmer, had a great time. Thanks to all the people who helped with food, photography, and of course Helpers Dave, Matt, and Doug, and tracklayer Tim.
2004 Fall Trial! Good weather, good conditions, good sportsmanship, good dogs, and good training added up to a successful and enjoyable Rivanna Police and Schutzhund Club Fall Trial. Kathy and Eika were High in Trial, Ron S and Gorbi won the Schutzhund Village Perpetual Trophy, 2 new SchH I titles, 2 new SchH II titles, a new FH 1, and 12 new BH's.
2004 Spring Trial! We held our spring trial April 9, 10, and 11 with SV judge Günter Lanfer. Congratulations to all the the competitors for their hard work and good sportsmanship, and big applause for the new BH and SchH titles. Our heartfelt thanks to the judge, to Show Chairman, tracklayer, and helper Armin, to helpers Doug Wendling and Dave Hooper, to Show Secretary Rae, and to Robin and Chuck and Pat and Steve for keeping us all (too) well fed.
2003 Fall Trial! We held our Fall trial with SV judge Helmut Rueppell on December 6, 2003. Congratulations to James Laney and Chief SchH I, Kathy Males and Riot SchH II, Ron Harris and Arnot SchH I, and to Steve Webb and Izra SchH I.
RSPC Membership
A member who wishes to renew his or her membership must read the rules,
print and fill out the form, and send the signed form together with a
check made out to "Rivanna Schutzhund and Police Club" to the club secretary.
Anyone wishing to join the club will be considered for membership as provided in the bylaws.
